The GMC has a piece of tubing welded between each 4-link bracket and axle. Serves dual purpose in stabilizing the bracket and a tie down point.

In the front, there's a single 180* tubing u-bend that is welded to the front cross member. Serves not only as a tie down point, but a tow point as well.

Not sure why you'd need more than one tie down in front. There is far greater forces in stopping than starting. I don't care if it falls out the back, just so long as it doesn't hit me in the head.
