thanks jmark the jetting 74-82 up or down 2 sizes. is this recomendation you make still using the power valve in the front. i would think this is what you meant(to keep the power valve). art

that holley 750 out of factory should have 75 front and 75 rear jets with a 6.5 power valve in both front and rear. no power valve in rear, then step rear jets up to around 82(and try 84s). you may...

lots of different 750 carbs good start point would be 68-70 with 6.5 power valve in front and around 76-78 in rear and no pv. this is what i see in the stock 750 holleys. art

thanks trmantr. i only had a 7 lb cap on there first time out and i was told to get a higher pessure cap, which i did. its a brand new 16 lb pressure cap and it has the pressure relief valve on it....

rob you probably hit the nail on the head about a vacum leak. car wont idle down low and when i put it low it shoots up and down.i have to idle it around 2000 to(maybe a tad lower) to drive it...

thanks fast 75 vega. the carb i am taking off is just about what you described. im going with the new center section that brings the 750 up to about 820 cfms, so the jetting isquite a bit higher.....

one thing, now that you mention it is that that in place of a thermostat there should be a restrictor plate. there is none. there was one when i had the 355 in there and it just never made it back...
