depending on the all factors in what u doing I take the 4O6 have line bored make sure the holes 45 deg. to the crank, fill the block get a 3.0 or 3.25 stroke crank and run like the super stock guys

for time and the money u spend on all add ons for the vortec ( valves springs covers intake oh yea they crack easy take your cash and buy a set of GM 292 turbo heads there the same as a dart 2 right...

robsbird,the other racers have explained it real good I would ad a couple things to help one is drive your car in the pits around 2000rpm in low gear and smash the gas and see where the tack goes...
