I did a 350 budget engine & chose to use patriot heads over the procomps because they were a better looking casting, although both are cast in China I believe. I bought them bare & added my valves...

I agree. The better parts may cost more up front, but often, especially after the inferior parts fail or fail to perform, & you wind up having to get the good bits anyway, How cheap were they really?

Not that I know of But I made one by cutting the guts out of a spark plug & welding a piece of steel in that protruded into the cylinder area thereby not allowing the engine to rotate past the bit...
