If the heads have large round pushrod holes then you need self aligning rockers.

Some engines in that vintage still had the old pushrod guide holes in the heads and they use the old rockers.

I'm not sure what tranny is behind that 7.3(there are 4 different auto trannies for that truck) but I would just use the ford trans. The older fords used a C6 behind the diesels and it worked ok.

I'm not real sure I'd call VR1... Racing Oil(it is street legal). The real Valvoline Racing oil says FOR RACING ONLY on the bottle.

BTW, I have had some roller cam guys come back with the lifter...

Loosen the chassis up so it doesn't push at all and is just to the loose side beginning with corner entry. If you push at all especially going into the corner you will use up a lot of power....
