292H camshaft ?

Will this cam cause issues with power brakes without a canister?
Thanks in advance...

brakes will be soft and wont stop very good but you might get by without a canister

It'll be softer, but it will not be so bad. It will stop good. Not so bad that like its going to be a runaway freight train. I have a solid 314/318 540/585 on a 108icl 112 lobe sep. I drive this SBC 400 on a daily basis in a C10 Blazer with a 6 speed. 3.73 rear eaton limited slip. The pedal is soft but not that bad I'm not running a vacuum canister.

CBTLR,
I ran this cam back in 1979 in my 67 RS -it was known as CCH-292. Great cam -No brake issues and it pulled hard to 7000 RPMs with Torker Intake, 300 hp heads, 327 flat top Won a lot of races back then

Thanks for your reply..I ended up sending the 292H back for a Extreme Energy 274H..Cam is in TNT this Thursday..I will post my time slip numbers vs the old RV cam..That lil RV cam was busting some 1.70's at the 60ft mark 8.40s full 8th. Package originally was 2.30s 60ft 10.0s in the 8th..

292 cams are a old grind. but still really good for makin ol time power on the street. ran them back in the 70s no problems with brakes but when in a 55 chevy you didnt have any wipers cause there wasnt much vac. to run then constant.dont know much about the one you used but if where me id stayed with the 292. good luck and let us know...

The XE 274H is a more modern grind vs the 292..I was a tad short on compression and gear to make that 292 work the way it should.I picked up .4 vs the rv cam..I had a few gremlins day of test and tune..I have to fatten up my jetting and make timing adjustments..This cam should had picked up way more than .4 over that small rv cam..I'll figure this out real quick..
