New project car......
1961 Volvo 544. looks like a 47 Ford. The folks from Volvo actually came to the USA to study the 47 and make detailed drawings and measurements and built the 544 to be a mini 47 Ford.
Gonna give this thang the Gasser Treatment.... http://i233.photobucket.com/albums/e...IMG_0751-1.jpg http://i233.photobucket.com/albums/e...IMG_0754-1.jpg |

Brick,
Are those JATO exhausts or tail lite protectors on your trailer? Hmmm, now I see how you get up those hills so quick! Cool old car! There was one of those in my neighborhood when I grew up. And it did look like an old Ford. It ran forever, I don't know what finally happened to it. |
that single axle trailer must be fun when you hit over 55 mph

I've run that trailer with 'the ANIMAL' on it at over 75 with ZERO wobble behind my old Dodge D100. I built it 17+ years ago using a 120 v wirefeed Hobart outa mobile home tongues. It's my $56 trailer.

I was going to suggest that you make it a Fat Fender car, using the 46/48 Ford or Mercury grills, that way you can use the existing sheet metal. One of the cars i had in the early 60's was a 1948 mercury convertiable and i loved that car. That's one of the cars i wish i had today, but i've had so many cars that i still wish i had today, like a 37 Studabaker couple, or a 1939 LaSalle coupe and the list goes on, i guess it's called to soon old too late smart.
