What are the engine restrictions for the class you run ?
------------- |
none
|
Camshaft profile in circle track engines is very crucial to having good acceleration power throughout the entire RPM band. Compression, Camshaft, Cylinder head, intake manifold, and carburetor are all a balance set in order to make your combination work to its very best.
Tell us a little bit more about your current set up, Compression ratio, Heads, Intake, and Carburetor being used. And car weight |
not sure how much compression Cam is a speedway tight lash flat tappet [email protected] int 252 exh 260 lobe separation is 106 gross valve lift int .542 exh .555 spring pressure is 120. Heads are Aluminum Pro comp 190cc runners 64cc chambers set up for my cam. Victor Jr intake no porting or polishing. Carb is a Holley 390 4brl 30 over flat top pistons car weights 2800 wet with driver.

Changes I would make, add dome pistons, change to a roller cam, and upgrade to a set of AFR 195 or possible 210 CNC ported cylinder heads.
The Pro Comp heads, flat tappet camshaft, and flat top pistons are holding you back with the no restriction rules. |

The biggest dome, but this will require tearing down the engine.
