2002 BBC 496 Engine
 

I just bought one of the GM 8 ltr Motors hoping I could make a 502 out of it only to find its a tall deck..Are there anything you can do with these?

Just put a Long Rod in the thing,if that all the Cubes you Want?If Not theres SEVERAL other combos,.........?
What Stroke do you want to run?Is the Bore standard?4.470 I beleive,...?

Std bore,I just tore it down & ut spun #2 rod bearing,,Cranks shot..Im not sure on the bore,I do know the 502 is a 4.47...

Since you have to have a new crank anyway I'd go ahead and put a 4 1/4 stroke crank in it, bore it to 4.5 and make it a 548.

According to specs it already has a 4.25 crank with a 4.37 bore & a 7. something rod..

Wayne~DONT Think Its Got a 7"Rod,its just that the Pin Height is adjusted!

Seems My Last 1 was a 4.50 Str.,6.700 Rod,1.240 Pin?That will make you a NICE COMBO!!!
