Thanks |
Well you didn't say what third member that you have(stock, aftermarket iron, or aluminum) so here is what I have. This is straight from Richmond Gears instructions that came with my Pro gear set.
7/16" Ring Gear Bolts : 60-65 ft/lbs 1/2" Ring Gear Bolts : 100-110 ft/lbs. 7/16" Carrier Cap Bolts : 60-65 ft/lbs. 1/2" Carrier Cap Bolts : 80-85 ft/lbs. Here are the specs from Mark Williams for their aluminum center sections Standard Pinion Nut : 110-125 ft/lbs (max : 175 ft/lbs.) Large Pinion Nut : 140-170 ft/lbs. (max : 200 ft/lbs.) 3/8" Pinion Housing Nuts : 30-35 ft/lbs. 7/16" Pinion Nuts : 40-45 ft/lbs. 1/2" Carrier Cap Bolts : 70-75 ft/lbs. Now here are the torque specs that I have with my Mark Williams aluminum thru bolt 9 1/2" center section (MW PN # 57448-95S) set up sheet. I'm using a 9" ring & pinion in it. 1/2" Ring Gear Bolts : 110 ft/lbs. Carrier Bolts : 90 ft/lbs. 7/16" Pinion Nuts : 45 ft/lbs. Large Pinion Nut : 160 ft/lbs. |
Sorry, it's a Strange aluminum center section.
Competition Engineering sheet metal housing w/ 3/8" studs. Thanks again. |
45 ft lbs should be good for those.
