I thought everyone was scared of the Melling pumps since they no longer use billet gears....

OneBadGMC 09-13-2009 02:36 PM

I was talking to someone recently who called Melling over that whole sintered metal gear thing.

Supposedly, it was misinformation spread by competition. I haven't called Melling directly myself though to confirm.

Someone on MOTORSPORTS Village(i think) posted that they asked MELLING about it and were told that none of their pumps use billet gears anymore. I don't want to lie so I will try and find that later .

Well, again, maybe that's bad info on my source's part. That's why I said I hadn't called yet to confirm it.
