4x4 tug of war
i have never seen this and im sure there are other events i've never
seen, but this stuff is very narly and cool, pure torque man, these trucks with no sponsors just your ordinary truck on steroids some with tracktor tires some with barrel tires both tugging and the manuvered truck pulls the other to a win, im interested in the gear ratios they were running, they said a rig was running a granny gear ratio, and that rig would pull slow but massive and the other guy just slides rubber, i liked that torque, it was on VS, i'll try to post a clip, and i could'nt get enough of mud dragging, man we need to stop and smell the rubber, lets enjoy some of this stuff called "horse power", and "drag racing" and for a while forget all the other B$HIT, eat a hotdog, popcorn, enjoy your grandkids, enjoy my fellow gearheads, may your gaskets always holdup, lest go RACING, godspeed  |
hey signs, i was at our local d.q. back in the early 80s one friday nite and 2 4x4s show up and parked with all us hotrodders. not to long there they got out on the road and tied back to back and started pullin.MAN that was the coolest thing i had seen in awhile. the tire smoke and burnt rubber smell was WOW!!!!! DAMN I LOVED THAT . MY FRIENDS HAD TO TALK ME OUT OF BUILDIN A TRUCK just for that kinda of thing.you had to see them trucks pullin and bouncin all over the place. the smoke was , well it was a lot of it.

yea exactly, this old 74 ford dual cab had like 5ft tractor tires and
man this thing had torque, it was called, "old blue", and yea it makes me want to build a truck to pull, there were around 16 trucks and there are no sponsors yet, so these guys get together like OUTLAWS! these guys were running 1,000 hspwr big blocks, im going to see if they pull around town 8) |
