69 roadrunner shifter handle probleem
 

I would like to know how to get the chrome 4 spd shifting handle apart from where it attaches to the bottom. it's not bolted, but appears to have 2 solid pins that run through it. the pins I think are part of the bracket and to get it out must have something to do with the shims on either side of the chrome where it meets at the bottom. If you know how to get the chrome shifter sepperated please let me know.
