why is the 572 bbc 4.5x4.5 combination not used so much?
 

It appears that engine builders advertising in the national dragster rearely if ever offer the 572 combo and I was wondering why that is. They seem to offer it in a shorter stroke larger bore, occassionaly, but mostly build around it and im curious as to why. Anyone have an opinion?

Some do use it. It is a great combination but usually everyone is trying for bigger.

A very good frind of mine is curently builing that combination to do battle in the Bb Turbo wars in Outlaw.
