Public Wi-Fi Safety

I use them pretty often, mostly when I’m between meetings or waiting for a flight. I don’t avoid them completely, but I try not to log into anything important unless I’m using a VPN. A friend once had weird login alerts after working from a hotel network, and that made me more careful. I usually keep a VPN app ready on my phone and laptop, especially when traveling. One option I’ve seen mentioned for that kind of everyday use is https://toggle.org/, mainly because it looks simple enough for quick connections without digging through a bunch of settings. I’d still say the basic habit matters most: avoid sensitive stuff on open networks, keep devices updated, and don’t connect to random networks with similar names.
