trans leak

i have a powerglide that has a small leak coming from the shift rod that goes in the side of the case. possible seal? can that be fixed with out pulling the trans apart?

looking to see if the shift rod can be removed by just droping the pan or does the valve body have a come out also?

You can remove, the shift rod by droping the pan, you will need enough room to slide it out.
