powerglide clutch clearances

I was wondering what clearances others were setting up their powerglides with ? I am running a 1.76 in a bbc dragster with a pro tree brake.

reverse: .090-.120" I set mine up with .110 with 6 frictions

High gear..... i believe stock drums with 5-6 frictions are about .012" per friction ....around .070"

Here is my main question:

When i freshend it up today, i changed to a aftermarket high gear drum that uses 10 frictions. Since the drum is so tall, the machined surface where the piston seals apply is only about .200" deep. I thought i should run the clutch clearances around .010" times 10 frictions, which is .100", but it doesnt look like the piston is going to travel more than .150" in the bottom of the drum max. The clutch drum came factory set up with .050" when i opened it. Is this going to smoke high gear when i am in low gear?

Thank you!

What are you putting it in? I bought one for my 830 HP small block dragster, took it back out. It takes more power to turn it and unless you have a very high HP car you don't need it. If you can, go at least .070 on clearance.

blown alcohol 468, motor made 1320hp and was having a lilbit of high gear holding problems with 6-8 clutches. I have actually set the 10 clutch drum up with 9 frictions.
