need help from knowledgeable Chevy Guy
Hi,
Building a dirt track car, the rule book says we have to run a stock production replacement piston. Now I think I can get away with a 2 valve relief flat top, but did a 350 ever come out with a dome from the factory? If so what? |

Where are you gonna race at? They dont allow a stock pop up of any kind if you get techd in a sport mod engine. STOCK!
|
tell us where it is or give us a link to the track and we can help you out.

from my knowledge in my area imca rules hobby stock and sport mod sbc can be .060 bored no more then 9.1 cr and must be flat top, can have valve releifs. stock car and a mod are limited to factory or after market iron block and same on heads and can not have altered motor mounts or lifter location other wise fairly unlimited

Here are the links to the tracks I am looking at. Look at the rules and let me know what you guys think.
http://www.clayhillmotorsports.com/r...ml#pure_street http://www.camdenmotorspeedway.com/6.html Look at the rules for pure street and street stock at both tracks. The rules are very similar. tires and vacuum are the only real difference. |
Stock 5.7 factory production rod. Dished or flat top 2 or 4 valve relief pistons allowed. Pistons must stay flush with or below top of the block.
that says it all basicaly the short block i have in my monte which is an imca legal short block flat top 9.1 cr .060 4bolt main block |
