which system is better a 12volt or 16 volt

Can you give a little more info? How many cubic inches are you trying to start? What compression ratio? How much other stuff are you going to run? Will you run an altenator? Is this a new build are you starting with no elec. parts?

Yep I agree with Beast. No need to spend that kind of $ if you don't need it.
But if you have a high compression motor, no alt. 16 volt is the way to go! I run everything 16 volt. fan, water pump and fuel pump.
