Complaints about my ad's please step forward
 

I know most aren't going to believe this but again there are complaints. :shock:

Now all i would like to know from the one's that are complaining step up and voice your opinion dont hide behind your key board explain your self to all of us what the problem is and then maybe we all will understand.
So far there is 96 to 6 on the pole but there has been calls again to RJ and i told RJ i would comply with what ever they wanted me to do .

So a lot of people has said what they think except for those that dont want me to use her so tell us why.

And once again i say thank you and your opinion is appreciated.

Not to pick a fight here but if women selling stuff offends you. Then I'm sure you watch no TV at all. Or look at very little ads as that is commonplace anymore. It seems to me if it's done tasteful, then by all means let her stay. Does she help sell more parts, hmm maybe? But when I look through ads and such and see something that strikes my attention, I'm going to stop and look at it. Whether a nice looking woman or bad a$$ looking car. Now that who ever it is, they have my attention and if I need it or want it, I may even buy it. I'm sorry to all this offends, because it's my opinion, but I see no more wrong with those PICS, then watching soaps or national TV. They have less on and usually made to make you think of sex period. JMO But you can't make everone happy 100% of the time

I dont have a problem with your adds. These people that complain do they watch T.V. There worse things on the T.V. than your adds.Dont change nothing old guys like me like looking at pretty girls. The saying is sex sells. If thats true Im buying.

please dont give into the one or two people that think this is offensive!!! because of one or two people, or very few people we cant say MERRY CHRISTMAS, or things like IN GOD WE TRUST please stand up for what you believe in, I will stand up !!!!!!! your adds are good, they are not offensive if you are asked to take them off, tell me in a pm and I will be gone!!!!!! whats right is right, dont let a few dictake what you do!!!! There is sex in advertising everywhere you look. I think that Kook's uses a model for some ads on here as well.

There is nothing wrong with it as long as it is tastefull. Your model is wearing what 90% of what most girls wear these days. Heck, you see more skin in a high school. :shock:

Thanks spib i thought it was all over until today when i got the call and was asked to remove one of the pic's that was posted.

so i removed it and replaced it with another one that was OK so far .
i guess there will be a vote on this from upper management i dont know .RJ was nice about it when they called and i understand were there coming from they have to handle all complaints and that's fine i dont have a problem with that they have to look out for there business also .

I was wanting the people that had the problem to come in and tell us all why so maybe we all could see there point.

I can't believe this :shock:

i said the same thing when RJ called me today but until they call me and tell me to take them all off I'm keeping them on my ad's.

Hammer time is the only one so far that has said he didn't like it. but he didn't vote or call so the one's that have still has not stepped up. yet

Well we have been kinda tracking it some and that's why you will see my ad's for a week or two go with just parts and track the hits and post them with her and track the hits and then when we get a call we will ask the customer what they thought of the ad's or where they herd about us so we are trying to see where we are getting the most response from .

it just is taking more time to try to track than i had thought it would but the wife is coming up with another system to help track it also.

so we will see how that works but i dont think it has hurt it at all and i have gotten a lot of messages for new pic's of her and we got them on the way.

if you need someone to view the adds send them all to me, I will tell you what I think I LIKE!!!!!!!!!!

maybe your competitors are placing the complaints. :(

I just want to see the woman, where is she???? I looked on your website and seen nothing? Put a link on here to her, I'm dying to see what all this hype is about.
When I'm browsing a magazine like hot rod or super chevy, etc and I see an ad with a hot chick in it, trust me I'm gonna look at it alot harder than if not. Simple fact sex sells.
Does anybody remember the pups auto parts flyers of yesteryear? Or how about the snap on tools calenders? I looked at them pretty hard and I got a tool box full of snap on tools to prove it.

I haven't been on here in awhile, and now I remember why. Boy are some people on here uptight. I mean pull the pencil out. There is nothing wrong with those adds. I use to live in Fl. and you would see that in a dept store. Keep the adds.

Them same people that complain about your add will let their kids watch someone kill someone on TV. Now do I want my kids to kill or buy speed parts. lol Blow them off. They aren't going to buy anyway. They gave all their money to Jimmy Swaggert.

Dont get me wrong here, I do enjoy looking at good looking women, and I am not a prude or anything. Nor would I email or call to complain about your ads, .

Here is my thoughts on this....
I know hot babes and cars have gone hand in hand over the years, but to me selling like this only makes the business look low class and cheap, and needs to have the babes in order to sell. I know that sex sells, but to me it looks as though, when someone trys to sell this way, that they are covering up something with the item, by distracting you away from it with the girl.
So if I am looking to buy parts, am I going to look for the guy with the hottest babes, which comes down to a babe contest, or am I going to to buy from the guy that is most honest , best service, knows his stuff, and with a good (not necessary the cheapest) price.

Ron, you have developed a good reputation in such a short time, as a good guy to deal with, your name should be what gets people to buy, and not because you have babes in the ads. I looked at the links you posted, and I really cant see much of the item.

But it is your business, and you can advertise anyway you want, (within legal guidelines of course).

Regardless, I would still buy from you if I was looking for stuff, babes or not...

These are just my opinions, and no way a complaint or critisism of you or your company, or the hot babe in the ads.
Nor am I "offended", I just dont think it is necessary.... besides there are pleanty of places on the internet, if guys want to look at scantly dressed babes..... some more scantly dressed than others.... :shock: :D

Hey E-bird..1st off Glad to see you back on the board...i need to say that the actions of 2 or 3 people ( THAT CALLED AND COMPLAINED TO RJ) that could or could not be part of the forum is not an accurate representation of our Forum here at RJ...most of this junk ( NOT THE POLL HERE ON THE FORUM BUT THE ANONYMOUS PHONE CAllS) has took place on the classifieds which is run seperately from us here on the forum..

also i spoke with Ron on the phone for about 2 hours tonight....


Hope to see you here more ..we have worked hard to make this forum a nice place to visit by weeding out the BS.....but no place is gonna be perfect, speacially when you have as many members as this forum has..

I just wanted to point out that in all of those ads he has more pictures of just the parts to look at, just like any other seller out there along with a nice detailed description of the item.

And i appreciate your honesty that's always good to hear but for the ones that has been calling Rj and making there complaints about my ad's i would like to know what is the problem with them all i ask was for them to come in here and tell me and the others the problem so we all understand.

You voted against and didn't have a problem saying so and to why you did and i have great respect for some one that can speak there feelings but you didn't call RJ complaining about my ad's.

I want to hear those complaints and why just so i myself can understand the reasoning behind it.
I dont expect whom ever it is to do so but it sure would be nice if they would .

Hey Ron, I think that all of us has pretty much told you that none of us called in. Both the people who like her and the few that do have points for her not to be there have said so. I asked a friends wife for a answer to your question. She said" she doesn't mind him looking for car parts on line, but doesn't think there should be women dressed like that on a parts ad". So maybe your callers are just angry/jealous wifes or girlfriends. And since that is where the complaints are coming from it might be the answer. BTW she didn't know about the PICS until we showed her, so it didn't come from down here, LOL.
