Help with Ad
 

Hey Everyone,

So me and my business partner are a bit perplexed. We have had our listing up for less then a month and have received over 1400 views of the ads (awesome in our opinion) however we have also received ZERO interest. We have one person "following" the ad and that was from the second day it was posted. Besides that, radio silence. Is there something about the vehicle or listing that is an automatic turn off for people?

If some of yall could look at the ad and perhaps give us some insight it would be much appreciated.

The first thing that strikes me is you're asking original GS money for a car with a Chevy crate motor in it. It's kind of stuck in no man's land. Not a race car nor a resto car. Old wheels, no fender wells in the front. The chassis appears to be bare as does the rear end. Holes drilled in the dash to hang gauges lessens value and if you look behind the gauges seems kind of messy. I'm not sure whats going on with the green and purple wires right under the trans temp gauge. Home made wire clamp? With the very large cell in the trunk you have no trunk space for a street car and too big of a cell for a race car. It is a nice car but you are stuck in no man's land so it is basically a show car. Very hard to get the money you want out of something like this. I hope this helps some.

I see no interior pics except for the gauge picture that shows a jumble of wires and no carpet. That makes me think its more of a drag car than a pro street car

I had a situation about the same as yours. Only my car was pretty much
pristine. It was priced very reasonable. ($17,500.00) Had about the same number of hits you have had, and zero offers. I chalked it up to the fact that no one was interested in a 68 Plymouth Fury III slightly modified and loaded. I also believe that most buyers on this site are interested mostly in Muscle cars,
and pro street. Also it seems that some flip cars for a living and if they
can't steal it they are not interested. Just an opinion.

Thanks for the info. We are currently installing interior in the car as well as cleaning up wire looms and what not. Curtis I see where you say it is kinda in between categories if you will or as you call it no mans land haha. I have thought this before and your explanation helps. As it sits now I think I will let the post expire and then repost (eventually) once the interior is complete and things are tidied up. I guess we assumed since there is so much money put into the vehicle that it would cause more interest since it has a lot of really good parts and time put into it. As we all know unfortunately, once a vehicle is customized to one persons liking it is hard to find someone that appreciates it enough to spend money on it.

If you get anywhere near .50 on the dollar you will be doing great. I bet it would be more like .30

The parts mean things to people. How much money and time you spent mean nothing because it doesn't affect what they have to pay. Not trying to be harsh but that is the way it is. When I am buying something, honestly I don't care what someone payed for it originally.

The pro stock hood scoop looks more race car than street. Changing it to a cowl hood may help sell it also.
