Gen 1 block / Gen LT1 heads?
 

Will the Gen ll SBC LT1 heads interchange with the Gen l SBC block ? :?

according to jegs catalog no the cooling is reverse in catalog i have page 29 upper right

They can be modified to work on an gen ! block. Involves drilling some cooling holes and plugging others. plus the need for an carbed lt1 intake modified for a dist. You can do an internet search for more info. Really not worth the time or cost unless you can do all the work yourself.

I was thinking they might not work, thanks for the info. decided to just use the entire LT1 engine. Doing a 95 LT1 swap into a CJ5 should be pretty cool.
