2000 5.7 liter vortec engine
 

I was wondering if the 5.7 liter engine came out of a 3/4 ton 2000 model truck will the rods , be ok. I know probably the pistons are to heavy so i would need different lighter pistons, and what about the vortec heads are they good enough like the camel hump 461x heads that flows pretty good.
Thinking about a little work on this motor and placing in my pure stock. We can run a solid lift cam 500" lift. If possible can someone give me advice .
