Something wrong on the cam description. If it a Voodoo, .255/.263, the lobes are split and not on 110* ctrs.
I think you'll have some traction problem more than cam problems.

what is your thoughts on the cam . should Ileave it at a 105 installed straight up or maybe retard it some.
my current chain only has 4 degree advance or retard built on it.
I am going to be runing 28/10.50 et drags with ladder bars rear with qa1 coil overs

I'd leave it where it is, in fact if i had my rathers, i'd install it at 104* it will definately give you more torque on the bottom end with it advanced.
I think you can make it hook, with the 10.5 tires, probably have too come out at about 4200 rpm on the brake chip with a 5,000 stall converter. I don't know how streetable it will be though. I had a similar setup in a 65 chevelle that weighed 3500 lbs, but a 468" motor. Smaller cam it ran 11.50's @ 117 in Phx. and 11.30's in Bakersfield, foot braking.

cam

well I am hoping it runs strongs than that. the engine with a flat tappet solid cam 270/276 .050 646 646 on a 110 installed at 109 with a 3500 converter in a 69 camaro ran 11.07 @ 124 .
I am hoping the cam will wake it up.
I also have a 272 282 @ .050 726 730 on a 108 solid roller
but I think the duration is a bit much.

The 3500 lb Chevelle i was talking about actually had a L88 flat tappet cam and cast pistons. Last year i built a 468" pump gas motor, stock bottm end except Forged 10.2 pistons, it does have BB2 Extra heads. The cam is a .659/.668 on 110 ctrs. installed at 106*. The motor is in a 3700 lb 66 Biscyne less driver. It runs 10.50's@126 on pump gas only, with a 150 shot it ran 10.31@131, 2 weeks ago at Baton Rouge with a 250 shot it went 9.77@137 mph the week before he was driving it around town with mufflers on it, by the way the car is for sale for $18,000.00, fully certified to 8.50.
The ref. of the Chevelle was that i was running the same size tires and a ladder bar coil over setup.
