Engine oil in my big block
 

Hi I have notice low oil pressure at idle in my engine. I'am using royal purple 20w50 synthetic is this normal or do I need to go with a different oil?

What is your oil pressure at? What was it before?

I don't believe it is the oil brand in any way. There are so many variables that have to be eliminated, the above is a start. Did the oil get contaminated with fuel really bad in any way? Have you changed filters since this started? Is this street driven or just a drag car? Why 20w50, are the clearances loose?
