strike force heads

I was just wondering if anybody has ever used these heads or heard of anybody using them? sounds like a good deal has some good features just never heard of them before. Any input would be appreciated. Heres the link http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/330cc...39966896QQrdZ1 Thx, Charles

You get what you pay for........I think its a 1500.00 toss in the ocean.
I wouldent touch em presonally, usually the have very cheap
valvetrain parts on them...Ebay is loaded with garbage like this from
starters,rockers,heads,cams u name it....
I would look to buy a set of heads from a reputable engine shop/builder.

I agree with (excelerater) these heads are o'k for steet use but for an all out race engine they won't handle it.
I can't tell if they are ported or not from the pics., but i can tell you that they are the same casting as sold by Pro-Comp. Electronics (and i am a pro-Comp dealer). I donot advertise and donot sell on RJ or Ebay. i have sold both B/Blk and S/blk heads and looked them over pretty good. the major fallback is the deck thickness is only 3/8" thk. and will not handle nitrous or a blower application without blowing head gaskets. I can build the same set of heads for under $1,100.00 in parts and under $750.00 for a S/blk.
If you are talking about serious racing, you need to go with a better casting with a thicker deck, most other heads have a 3/4" thk. deck such as AFR, Dart, or Brodix.

Like i said i sell them to street people but donot run them, i'm a brodix person.

Just my .02.

Zip.

CAT and PROCOMP I think are one and the same.....
?

Thx for the input guys, Thats exactly what I was thinking, I am leaning towards the bb2x for my build but the dart 325's are about the same price.
Any thoughts on either of them?

Cat and Pro Comp are different.

Alot of PBM and others are just Pro Comp stuff.
Some of the PBM stuff is made by Erson.
$1500.00 is pricey for those.
About $1000.00 to $1200.00 complete depending on springs and set-up is a good price. Those heads can support 800+HP with porting.

On a budget they are not bad yes there are nicer heads but at twice the price.
