Input on build

Getting my engine back from the machine shop monday. I have built alot of engines in the past and has been around 10 plus years sence i have put together proformance engines and not of this qaulity. I have always used good parts in my engines and times change and the ways to check and the assembly of the engines change to get the most out of them. I bought this engine in Nov. of last year and it was sitting for a very long time. I put the engine in my car and was running fine till i found a lifter going bad, so i broke it down and now going back with it with bigger heads and set up more for NOS.

This is a merlin3 race prep block, bryant crank, carrilo rods,JE pistons with healfire fill fit, brodix heads with jesel set up,comp cam, 4 stage weiver dry sump system, jesel belt drive, the works as you can tell. I have never put together a engine with these parts before and checked everthing when i took it apart. I am putting it back together with some new parts. The engine did sit for a long time and only had around 6hrs run time, maybe satup 7,8 years thats way i believe the lifter was going bad, holding the spring open jmo. I am putting in new cam and lifters.

I would like to know what you guys think about what pull on the rings, what end gap with 275 big shot plate on hit and 350 on pro fogger all on in high gear, with glide. I have set up engines with 6.5 per bore size with nos. Bought some total seal quickseal for the bores and pitons. It had .0028, split bearings .001 top and std bottom, both mains and rods. with the dry sump it was running 55to60 psi hot at idle. The pistons are a little odd with a 4.5605. Talked with owner at the machine shop and he told me no less than 6lb on oil ring with good vacum. What is the best lube for brake in. Its going back with the same pistons, just needs honing, polished crank with new bearings, same setup or what do you think. What lube for bearings. Good way to brake it in as it is not going to be dynoed.

Where would you set the cam.
