S B C cast iron heads!??????

HI ALL!!!!! it has been along time since my last SBC build from scratch! I help/maintain a 410 outlaw/allstar sprint motor so I can work on them!!! A friend who I have helped since he raced 1/4 midgets is running a "modified dirt car & the motor rules are as follows!!! CAST IRON heads & block!! SIMPLE !! My question is for a 410 ( maybe + 20 or so!) what are the best cast iron heads???? (after market or OK )I would like to turn the motor 6500-7000 on alky !!! probably a 750 carb & small roller until he learns to drive then 850 & more cam! What are the advantages of 14 degree heads verses 18 & 23??? THANKS IN ADVANCE.....chuck

Those are my favorites to use. I only have experience with 23 degree stuff.

my 383 made 592 hp with a flattappet cam and Dart Iron eagle platinum 215"s switched to Brodix -10s and only made 8 more hp.The Darts are the best iron 23* head out. imo

If you can use them, since you mentioned the 14 degree head, I would use the RHS Iron 14 degree heads. There is actualy a good deal on some here on Rj, with a cnc chamber. Otherwise the Platinumns are hard to beat. The 14 degree heads would be a lot more spendy though, as you need special pistons, shaft rockers, intake, etc
