gear and tire change need opinion's
 

ok so here is the deal..i got a real good deal on a ford 8.8 ( has handled 1000hp before) and it has 3.73 gears in it.

My rear now ( amc 20) has 4.56 gears in it and i run a 30X9 Hoosier slick at the moment

so what my plan is now is to put on a 28X10.5 slick to compensate for the gear reduction and i am also adding nitrous. plan on running 75 to 100 shot only.

my motor makes 482hp ( figured out by 1/4 times not dyno) and my car weighs 2900 race ready. I have a basically stock 727 and i launch off the foot brake.

whats is your opinion on this? am i heading in the right direction?
