01 235'' MULLINS HARD TAIL, 462 BBC AT 13.5 TO 1 WITH REC PORT HEADS, BIG ROLLER CAM YADA YADA YADA,,ITS GOT 4.57 REAR END GEARS, WITH 33X17X16 BRAND NEWWWW HOOSIER'S, LEAVING AT 4200 AND SHIFTING AT 6800 TOTAL WEIGHT ON DRAGSTER AND DRIVER IS 1850 I SCALED IT MY SELF, JUST LOOKING TO SEE WHAT EVERYBODY THINKS IT WILL RUN, AND I WILL POST THE RESULTS FRIDAY NIGHT WHEN WE GET HOME !!

Well Bigray... I am lost on Dragsters but I bet it will haul a$$. Let us know the #'s when you take a stab at it.

Hard to say without air conditions. But I will guess 8.38 @153.50. 1/8 mile should be better than 1/4mile because of the 4.56 gear. I say 5.22 @126.00 in the 1/8. 1.18 60'

i assume gm heads ? how big of roller cam ? What is the converter 8" ? and what stall ? You plan to run 1/8th I assume with the 4.56 ? |

Well didn't do so good, the Dominator carb had some probs, it took 2 pumps to start everytime, and then no matter what it just wouldn't idle right, we checked float level, fuel press, and when u dropped it in gear, it really fell off and u had to keep foot braking it to keep it running. may just put the Pro form 930 back on it,, it was running 8.80s in the altered, same motor. with that carb, thats all we did, pull it out of the roadster and put it in the dragster and change the carb.

Almost sounds like a vac leak or air/fuel adjs. not right.

Humm..i checked for air leaks,, and went ahead and put new gaskets on.i took the air fuel screws to 2.5 out, heck it acted worse, could it be that its pulling fuel past the power valve ?? i even backed the idel screws off, and tryed to just foot feed it right a 1000 to 1250 and it still didnt like it, <<
