E85 pump gas vs. high cost racing fuel

Here is my situation. I have the chance to purchase a local car with a 550 hp 400 small block chevy...350 trans...4000 stall converter. It is currently running on racing fuel. Is there a lot to do to change the engine, etc. over to use the E85 pump gas that is available at the local stations?? I would want to run the car on the street. I would be changing the stall speed down to 3000 right away. Any suggestions or guidelines would be appreciated. Thanks.... Steve

A good carb and a fuel system that is methanol compatible. No paper filters, the glue tends to soften up and go through the system. Get the carb from Eric at HP Innovations or Mark Sullens, both do nothing but E85 and know the fuel well.
