Hey Zip,I didn't know about them with Continenatal.I had an A1 in the late 80s when Marv Ripes was running things there.I'm looking into getting a new converter over the winter and wanting to see if anyone was using a more recent one. Thanks Bill.

Bill, that's when i was running them and that's what Marv told me. I was running his PG also but they wouldn't last more than 50 passes before smoking high gear clutches with a 3100 lb car, so i eventually went with a turbo 400 and never had anymore problems. I later went to Hughes converters, and for the last 10 yrs. have run PTC converters.

A1

Kris at Continental is a very knowledgable converter guru. He knows the combinations that work. If you give him enough facts, he can build a durable, consistant converter.
He has built several for my cars and the guys I race with and we are all happy with his work.

I used Steve Griner's converters/trans. until he sold his equipment to Kris and Griner recommmended him to me.

I wouldnt even consider anything other then FTI now, 1yr warranty and unlimited stall changes if they miss. You wont find that anywhere else and actually stand behind it.
