I have the adv. curve set high(1 before locking), will it make it hard to start.

Engine is 14:1 alcohol injected, was thinking it's trying adv. as it fires or do i just need to retard the timing.

Currently have total set at 38 and seems work ok.

we normally retard 8-10 degrees for astart to save the battery and starter.
If you arehaving trouble starting on alcohol, you may concider building a seperate gas / primer deal. I did, it works !

You are lucky you have not ruined a flywheel or two!
