How old is the engine ?
Year- Make - Model of car.
Stick of auto ?
What elevation are you at ?
What is your timing set at ?
What octane fuel you using ?
What rear gear ratio ?

what does the converter stall at from a dead stop. also my timing in my 388 stroker is 42 degrees total leed with a 650 holley flowed to 680 cfm by nickerson i'm at 11.5 to 1 static compression with dart iron eagle heads at a 200 runner the cam is a 625 in 610 ex lobe sep at 110, intake center line at 106 solid roller custom ground by lunati ,motor sits in 1970 camaro in full trim running 11.60 in good air at atco. i would try a smaller carb cfm to increse air speed fast air fast car goog luck joe g

Converter and check to make sure your timing pointer is right. Is the timing advance locked out?
