I believe thats a 66 or later GM A body seat. I think 65 A-body is fatter.

Where is the button located to flip the seat back forward?
|
I am speaking of 66 and later A BODY SEATS HERE. Don't know about the pre 66 seats.
No button =1966 Button on the side of the seat back with METAL seat backs =1967 Button on the side of the seat back with plastic seat backs = 1968 Button in the center of the seat back about should blade height =1969-72 If the button is anywhere other than the 4 examples above they are not 66-72 Chevelle/a body seats. I WOULD SUGGEST going to TEAMCHEVELLE.COM and posting this in the forum.I guarantee you %100 that someone over there will know what they are. There are a lot of knowledgeable people there. Just DON'T insult a factory 400 block or they will attack you. |
Thanks guys. I will have to check on the button location. I have had these for a while I bought them for a 55 chevy project. I was told that they were Pontiac 2+2 seats or maybe Grand Prix seats.

my guess is 66-72 gm style seems to me to be more B.O.P then chevy but i could be wrong . until alittle research almost thought 65 imp but not sure would have to see seat back to do more research

I will get some pics of the backs and post them.

yea only thing changed was patterns and trim and that even varied in each make and model ( chevelle had like 2-3 cover syles and moldings)

They are olde enough, as they don't have headrests. Some 67 buckets had them, but I don't think the earlier ones did...
