Maybe you're running TOO MUCH tire

as referenced, this past weekend at Holly Springs Ms. temp. bottom 50's, ice cold track (but perhaps the best track in the south) 8.5" tire, 3200 lbs. min. Although not shown i heard the record was reset at 5.23@141 mph, damn that flying for a small tire car.

flying for a small tire, i remember when i built my first 383 and
the nova still had a 2:73 gear and when i floored it the left tire
would only spin but man it was smoking and the car was not moving
and as i went 5 mph down the street with the one tire smoking
a man on the sidewalk just stared with amazement like he
saw a ghost, a ghost burning rubber on one tire  :D

Jimmy Smith, split SP 2 wks ago sat. nite and came back sun nite and split the 7.00 purse. i may come up for the Holloween race, i need to check on my house up there anyway.

Hey Guys Small Tires are Fast..the smaller the faster.. throw in small and Radial in same sentence and you speaking EXTREMELY FAST....but the smaller the tire the more harry the ride.....if anyone is wondering... imagine running 150mph on a Gravel Road  .....that pretty much describes the feeling to a tee running small tires in heavy cars that have Power.....

oh yEAH Zip that 5.23 with 8.5 tires is getting it Done at 3200lbs..No doubt

Jimmy, I will definetly concider the 6.0 class when I do come, I broke the rearend last weekend at Byhalia so I'm more than likely not going to make this event.
I've been dying to use my trasnbrake anyway, if I get it fixed in time this just might be my excuse.
I might have to put a brick under my throttle to slow her down though....lol

Man I heard you rule that 7.0 class, goodluck buddy.
