I prefer vr1 10/30 always had good luck on alky. Im not a fan of the brad penn, they changed that oil in the last few years, much less zinc.

best oil - brad penn

Brad Penn is used by many teams in the northeast in sprint cars and supermodifieds running on methanol.

Take a look at Amsoil's Dominator line of racing oils. Excellent product.

I use CENPECO in my alky engines its loaed with zinc 2300 PPM.

Have used it for 15 years now and no issues.

Amsoil never use to be copatible with alky.

In our circle engines on gas AMSOIL is all I reccomend and have the best results with thier porducts.

Is it possible for an oil to have too high a zinc content? If so, what is that threshold? What are the negative effects an engine may incur with an oil with too much zinc?
