Both need some metering work requiring tapping holes, either can be made to work well. Do you have either or both carbs or looking to buy? What are you putting it on? The 9375 should have removable bleeds, the 8082 not. 9375 is a 3 circuit and should have annular boosters, 8082 is a 2 circuit and probably has straight boosters. If I had the 9375 I would replace the metering blocks and make it a 2 circuit, the 8082 would get the bleed holes threaded for removable bleeds and annular boosters. Either way you have some work to do.

They must be using the -1 designation for all of the HP 8082's, they list a -2 and -3 on their bleed chart but not the -1. If you are buying new, spend the extra for the Ultra 8082. It comes with billet metering blocks, all passages are threaded for changeable idle jets and emulsion, they also have external linkage which is easier to change secondary opening rate and has no internal linkage that can come apart. It will make it easier to calibrate for your engine. And if you qualify for the Jegs racer discount you will save about $100 on either the red or black version. And it looks pretty...

I run an AED carb. and LOVE it. Nver made a single adjustment (other than change the jets for the Q16 fuel) to it since I've had it. (3 years)

The parts in the Ultra are better than what would be in the lower end AED.

When you get it I can give you tuning tips if you need.
