Death at Virginia short track
 

A very sad loss June 30th at Lonesome Pine speedway in Va. happened when Wanda Phillips wrecked her Stock car and lost her life. She hit the wall coming out of 4 and veered headon into the gaurd rail. She was said to have a verl low pulse and was nonresponsive. she was then air lifted to the Hospital where she was pronounced dead. This is A traggic loss,especially from someone who was as good of a competitor as she was, she had just recently won her race june 23rd and had won the pole for that race. She was verywell liked at the track and will be missed very much. thesde details came from
