short piston skirts 4inch bore & 4.5inch bore

does anyone have experiance running short skirts in a small block and a big block the same rules can't possibly apply to both i got a big block guy telling me a 6 inch rod chevy won't run for long but how can you compare skirt height between to completly different pistons one being 4.030 or 4.155 to a 4.500 inch big block piston? if a 6 inch rod small block is junk for a street motor then i hate to see what would happen if you used a 6.500 length rod.

It works just fine. Engines like a 632 bbc, that uses a 4.75 crank, and a long, 6.535, or even 6.7 inch rods, with a 4.6 bore, has a very short skirt. 4 inch stroke, 6 inch small blocks, the same thing. It works just fine.
