Days when not racing..........

Ok I was just curious on this subject. I also thought it might be interesting to see the outcome.

Looks like people don't like to get dizzy watching cars going around in circles all day long looking for the finish line.

On TV or in person. I can't even watch the coverage of NHRA anymore with Paul Page. I am dyed in the wool drag fan but I have been just skipping the broadcasts lately. IHRA on speed is better for me.

Either on t.v or in person doesnt matter

I have to agree with doorracer, his voice drives me nuts! needs to go back to announcing Indy cars or golf tourneys. I know that Bob Frye and Alan Rhinehart work a lot of the on track media but they should be in front of the camera more often. Mike Dunn does a fantastic job, he just needs a better sidekick. I prefer watching NHRA at the track but only can do that 3 maybe 4 times a year. Nascar just makes me dizzy and my AADD last about 5 seconds, perfect for drag racing!

DirkaDirka 07-31-2009 11:17 AM

yes I would say would be perfect for the strip.

FullTimeRacing 07-31-2009 11:17 AM

neither,though I like drag racing I just can't take all the B S promotions.

Agree with a lot of comments already made. Mike Dunn is excellent.
I am wondering if NHRA will become FHRA (Force Hot Rod Assn). I get so tired of them promoting him. Yes, he did a lot of good for the sport. Yes he hold lots of records. Yes, he has cute daughters. Yes he has 1/4 of the FC field every race ($$). But when they did the special (Seattle race I think) on how many miles he put on his pit bike I thought I was going to throw up.

Phew, I'm through for now......

I quit watching wrestling,I mean nascar years ago.

Now I don't watch NHRA,and don't like watching that tool on PINKS.

but do anyway.

Tough question all depends on how hung over i em on sunday HAHA. I watch them both and enjoy both of them but i dont take the time out of my day to sit and watch it. the only thing that will stop me is if i catch the lucis oil latemodels on speed. I live for dirt just cant get enough of it to much fun

Re: NHRA

I think most spend their days not racing fixing whatever they broke/tore up on the day they were racing.

DirkaDirka 07-31-2009 09:23 PM

True didnt really think bout that. Of course that is me every weekend anyways.

hollowayshotrods 08-01-2009 04:07 AM

I don't watch any of it. Advertising monsters have taken the fun out of it.

TheYellaBrick 08-01-2009 07:28 AM
