400 or powerglide 565 mustang and what parts needed

I HAVE A 84 MUSTANG WITH A 565 BBC WITH 14:1 AND BRODIX ALUMINUM BB-2 HEADS ,800 LIFT SOLID ROLLER 5000 PRECISION CONVERTER. IM BUILDING CURRENTLY. I WANTED POWERGLIDE BUT WAS TOLD A 400 IS BETTER FOR MY APPLICATION. WHAT DO YOU GUYS THINK.
ALSO IF I GO EITHER GLIDE OR 400 PLEASE INFORM ME OF WHAT PARTS ARE NEEDED TO HOLD THE POWER. IT IS JUST FOR TRACK FUN AND OCCASIONAL STREET DRIVEN. I HAVE 4.5 EXHAUST AND THINK I MIGHT GET BOTHERED BY BOYS IN BLUE.
I ONLY RUN AT THE TRACK FOR FUN AND TO SEE MY TIMES I NEVER GET IN ANY CLASS OR POINTS RACES. PURE FUN .
I WANT A T-BRAKE,AND GOOD INTERNALS TO LIVE IN THIS CAR .
IT MIGHT SEE 8-10 TRACK DAYS A YEAR AND A HARD WOODWARD CRUISE. OH I CURRENTLY HAVE A 9 INCH 4.86 SPOOL . BUT WILLING TO CHANGE IF NEEDED
THANK YOU

Not knowing what you have for suspension, a glide will give it the least abuse. Aftermarket gears a good idea, input shaft, dual ring servo piston, and high gear hub a must. Don't drive the spool in the rain, it won't be pretty...

POWERGLIDE OR 400

IT HAS ADJUSTABLE PPER AND LOWER ARMS WITH 50/50 DRAG SHOCKS REAR. FRONT AJE CROSS WITH ARMS AND COIL OVER FRONT STRUTS.REAR BAGGED

Both are durable, the 400 takes a little less aftermarket parts to be strong. I think the glide will work best at the track.

i vote for the glide in your application as well, plus the glide will make a lil better power and not shock the tires as violent.
