gear ratio ?
 

i have a 1966 plymouth satallite, 440 500 hp 727 trans ,8 3/4 rear end, 28 inch tall rear tires, whats the best gear ratio for the 1/4 mi ?

my brother inlaw and his whole family all drag plymoth/mopars. his sister runs pretty much the same setup in her plymouth with 456's in the rear and buzzing the traps at 7k rpm. depending n how well built your motor is.... might want to go with 4.30's
