SBC 350 distributor sits at angle w/single plane manifold
 

Hi all, I recently purchased a `72 350 060 over sbc with a hurricane type single plane intake on it. Had no disributor in it when I bought it and has never been fired.(total rebuild) I finally got a distributor for it and dropped it in and the distributor sits at an angle?? The seat on the intake is flat(horizontal). Is this a special intake, maybe for a later model sbc? or is this the way distributor is suppose to sit in the motor.....I`m baffled?? Seems to me that the distributor hole is not in line with the hole in the block I`ve seen manifolds that actually have an angled seat for the distributor. Is this what I need?? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
