what headers for these brodix -8 heads
I cant seem to find a good set that actually fits without adapter plates
anyone know of a set that would work? I dont feel like fabbing a set I got too much on my plate as it is lol. looking for 1 3/4 primaries full lenght ceramic coated headers. only thing that seems like it would fit is D port block hugger headers. any ideas ? http://webpages.charter.net/harrycoon/brodix%201.JPG http://webpages.charter.net/harrycoon/brodix%202.JPG |
that appears to be a Stahl Spread Port design.
Give me a bolt center to center mearure ment of the bolt holes on each side in the center and I will measure a set I have here to verify this. It looks like you are missing a bolt hole for some reason though. Ed |
center bolt holes are 4" apart from hole centers

any other ideas?

hey man'
You are in luck. That is standard Chevy SB center bolt spacing. I was also wrong about it looking like the Stahl. Sometime today I will place a Canfield SB Chevy Head with ported 1 5/8 ports and a Brodix with 1 7/8 ported ports requiring the the Stahl Spread port desig header , side by side and shoot some pics and post them here so you can see the differences. Headers for any SB should fit that bolt pattern. Depending on your header needs, a 13/4 should bolt right on. A 1/78 from hooker should fit. Schoenfeld has a 1 3/4 and a 1 7/8 that will fit gen 2 Camaros. and a few other cars. Ed |
What's wrong with adaptor plates?
I would get the hookers super comp headers with stahl pattern in 1 7/8" with 3 1/2" collector, that's what i run on my Malibu, the adaptor plates come with the headers and cost about $500.00 they are made for cameros also. That way if you decide to go up on the heads you aready have the headers, except for 18* heads just my opinion. Zip. |
well I found a set of adapter plates that ill be able to gasket match the exhaust ports to the header ports.
what do ya think? Itll also give more room for the angled plugs. http://webpages.charter.net/harrycoon/hs4_75-1.jpg |
