fuel pump

what size fuel pump should i be running on my car, it runs high 10's low 11 seconds but i'm getting a stumble sometimes around the 1/8 mile marker. i'm running a holley blue now do you think it's to small. thanks for your help. mack.

I've ben running the blue forever,1/2 inch line ,as fast as 10.70 and 7000 rpm.

No problems

i'm running 5/8 line from pump to regulator then 1/2 inch from reg to cool can then to carb do you think that's hurting anything.

FullTimeRacing 07-29-2009 06:31 PM

5/8 what are you using a garden hose,,,,Just kidding.

there are people on here that are more knowledgable than me on this subject, there is a science to it,but I would look at carb or ignition.JMO

lol.. yea i got a deal on the #12 braided hose so i used it.

If it's holding good fuel pressure going through the traps, then it's just fine.

bigmack 07-29-2009 06:56 PM

that's something eles i need to know where should you hook the fuel guage up at the regulator after the regulator or what.

FullTimeRacing 07-29-2009 07:01 PM

carb side of the reg.you cant do anything without knowing the fuel pressure!

I ditched my Holley and chucked in a BG400. Never had a prob in my Camaro.

fullspeed383 07-30-2009 02:05 PM
