does any body know if the world drag expo is happening this year in schaumburg,il

Last I heard it is not going to happen. Bummer, it was always a good time. It was a nice break in the middle of winter and get you pumped up for the up coming race season.

This is a quote from Drag Expo organizers Todd & Laurie Silvey.
"First of all, the world drag expo will not take place this year and here is why. Our contract with the building expired after last year's show, and even in this economy, it was going to be a huge hike in price to continue there, and we wanted to lower the pricing to more reasonable levels for the way the economy is at this point. An agreement could not be worked out to anybody's satisfaction, So, no there will not be a world drag expo. the first year of the show they had a small one in the parking lot, just a few cars, last year I dont think they did. (or didn't pay attention, damn cold out there). :lol: this year they dont mention it it the show info.
