My trans guy tolf me - after I totally fkd my TH400, don't use a temp gauge. By the time the temp is up there and you're thinking something may be wrong, its too late.
I put in a pressure gauge instead. As long as the pressure was around 190 I knew the trans was all good. As soon as pressure dropped for more than a few seconds, you shut it off.

I try to keep my glide 200 or below (180 is better) but have had it up to 240 when hot lapping. I was running my car in super pro and a buddy was running it in no-e 4 passes as soon as we could change drivers and take the delay box out and get back to the lanes, then 4 rounds for him and 5 for me had the temp up pretty good.

If mine is 180 hot lapping I am ok with it if its 200 I am not :D

Has been running 150 this year with hyd fluid max just went back to type F and seen 15 degree gain but also got my delay settings back in the box. Was 50 slower with hyd fluid

Hey David,
What kind of summer temps do you northern guys average racing in?

hammertime 07-10-2009 01:18 PM

90-100 somtimes more sometimes less this year we've been lucky and its only been above 100 2 times at the track, either way the humidty is a mother f'er lol

curtisreed 07-10-2009 02:53 PM

Wasn't sure, been over a hundred a lot here so far. Our heat index today was 115. You are sure right about the humidity. I'm getting new shingles on the house, garage and carport. Came home from work yesterday and helped the guys rip shingles off the garage and thought I was going to have to call 911   . Sorry about the hi-jack Andy.
