Fuel delivery issue probably
You are out of hand brother. One minor detail, your carb bowls will run out of fuel unless you buy wedge shaped floats. These carbs are not meant to take G forces east and west and control fuel level, just north and south. Might even throw a cup full of fuel at you too out the vents when you accelerate forward. Food for thought, maybe when it runs out of fuel, the hesitation will be timed about the same time you realize you are on your death run, who knows. If we don't hear back from you after testing, I'll have a clue what might have happened to the driver.
Good luck Bruce |
Don't worry none Bruce, It won't even survive the torsional forces involved to get outa the hole to trip the start beams.....

Nice project!!!
Do any of you remember the drag bike called the "Barn Job"? Unless I am mistaken, that was the first time someone used a V-8 on a bike. It was also a 327 SBC mounted sideways. They had a trick stand that would collapse with a trigger release. It was a hand full.... :D Dave |

I love the gomobile. Oiling is the first thing I thought about then all that white stuff on the ground. Looks cold. Not for me
I've never seen a snow mobile so excuse my ignorance. What kind of transmission does it have and how'ed you hook it to the V8? I would have to put a fake pull starter on it if it were mine! And act like I was pulling it when I hit the starter button! |

And act like I was pulling it when I hit the starter button! It has a snowmobile clutch mounted to the crankshaft and runs a normal snowmobile belt. I like the fake pull starter idea, going to do that for sure!!! |
how did i miss seeing this till now ....lol that is bad ass :)

I really like that hot rod you have built. I could see myself on that thing about 40yrs ago! Bad to the bone, cold bones in your case! Just one sugestion, if you turn many rpm's I'd like to see you put a harmonic balancer shield or sfi damper on it. Extreme cold weather may make it more brittle, I don't know. It may never let go, but if it does you are too close to it with nothing in between. JMO. Keep on racing and having fun.
