Firming up my TH350
So far I got the adjustable modulator, 3200 stall, derale tranny pan w/ cooling tubes and the shiftpoint govoner kit. The shifts are too soft so I went searching for shiftkits and came accross this
http://www.oregonperformancetransmis...ory_Code=350SK This the one I should get? I leave anything out? |
I HAVE USED SHIFT KITS AND HAD GOOD LUCK WITH THEM. BUT FOR THE SAME OR A LITTLE MORE MONEY,AND THE SAME AMOUNT OF WORK,I WOULD RECOMMEND GETTING A NEW VALVE BODY. IF YOU GO FULL MANUAL , BE CAREFUL , SOME KITS MAKE PERMANENT MODS THAT PREVENT YOU FROM BEING ABLE TO CHANGE YOUR MIND LATER. I WOULD RECOMMEND A AUTO/MANUAL VALVEBODY , UNLESS YOUR STRICTLY RACING. THERES A COMPANY YOU CAN GET REAL GOOD PRICES ON HI PERF REBUILD KITS,I'LL FIND IT AND GET BACK WITH YOU. CANT REMEMBER THE NAME . I GOT MINE FROM THEM FOR A TH400 WITH RED EAGLE CLUTCHES,KOLENE STEELS AND FULL GASKET/SEAL KIT FOR $145 PLUS SHIPPING. GOOD LUCK

Yea but if you read the description that $30 kit I posted a link to modifies the valve body for firm manual / automatic shifting.

Sounds good. If your tranny is in good shape and doesn't have alot of miles on it,that is what I would do.
Penny saved is a penny earned :D |
While I used to make my own mods, B&M has the best kit (Transpack) for the TH350 and has different levels to chose from. $66 well spent to do it right.
